Wind Directed Sound Generator

„Wind Directed Song Generator“ is an installation consisting of 4 fans (each for one direction of wind), a relay-station (globe) and four brass tubes, which produces not only typical wind-chime sounds, but also serve as switches. Every of the four tubes is wired to one specific fan. If the mallet, moved by wind, hits a tube, an electric contact switches (via a relay) „its“ fan on. This also influences wind conditions and therefore again the mallet. A game between the four fans in this system generates wind and music as a byproduct.
